Drew Steen Eagle Scout Project with Help from Tim’s Fences at League City Animal Control
League City, Texas – Drew Steen, a local Boy Scout, recently earned his Eagle Scout merit badge by completing a community service project at the League City Animal Control facility. Steen’s project involved building a new Chain Link pen to help improve the safety and security of the animals in the shelter’s outdoor play area.
To complete the project, Steen partnered with Tim’s Fences, experts. In addition, Master Halco, a leading supplier of fence materials, donated materials in support. Tim’s Fences provided guidance on the design and construction of the fence and helped Steen and his team, Troop 95, to complete the project on time and within budget.
The new fence provides a safe and secure area for the animals to exercise and play, reducing the risk of injury or escape. Steen’s project was well-received by the staff at the animal control facility, who praised his dedication and hard work.
“We’re so grateful for Drew’s contribution to our facility,” said a spokesperson for the League City Animal Control. “The new fence will help us provide a better quality of life for the animals in our care. and we couldn’t have done it without his leadership and the support of Tim’s Fences.”
Tim’s Fences, a family-owned and operated business, established in 1998, has a long history of supporting community organizations and charitable causes. As a member of the Texas Fence Association (TFA), they are committed to ensuring that all Texans -even four legged ones- have access to safe and secure fencing. The company’s owner, Tim Weyand, said that he was proud to be a part of Steen’s project and to be able to support and give back to the community.
